About this worksheet

Each sheet contains 16, 20 or 24 problems (your choice) and is generated at random. Press “New problems” as many times as you like; there is no limit and no account needed.

Worked example

29÷210=
  1. To divide by 2/10, multiply by its reciprocal 10/2: 2/9 × 10/2.
  2. Multiply the numerators (2 × 10 = 20) and the denominators (9 × 2 = 18): 20/18.
  3. Simplify: divide the top and bottom by 2. 20/18 = 10/9.
  4. 10/9 is more than 1: 10 ÷ 9 = 1 remainder 1, so 10/9 = 1 and 1/9.

Answer: 1 and 1/9

Teaching tips
