About this worksheet
Each sheet contains 20, 25 or 30 problems (your choice) and is generated at random. Press “New problems” as many times as you like; there is no limit and no account needed.
Worked example
877−295
- Ones: 7 − 5 = 2.
- Tens: 7 is smaller than 9, so borrow 1 from the hundreds: 17 − 9 = 8.
- Hundreds: 7 (the 8 became 7 after lending 1) − 2 = 5.
- Check: 582 + 295 = 877.
Answer: 582
Teaching tips
- Check each answer with addition.
- Problems with zeros in the top number (like 502 − 167) deserve extra attention; generate a few sheets until some appear.
