MathSheetLabWorksheet #127166

About this worksheet

Each sheet contains 20, 25 or 30 problems (your choice) and is generated at random. Press “New problems” as many times as you like; there is no limit and no account needed.

Worked example

720+787
  1. Ones: 0 + 7 = 7. Write 7.
  2. Tens: 2 + 8 = 10. Write 0 and carry 1 to the hundreds.
  3. Hundreds: 7 + 7 + 1 = 15 (including the carried 1). Write 15.

Answer: 1507

Teaching tips

  • Have students say the carried digit out loud ("7 plus 5 is 12, write 2, carry 1") until it becomes automatic.
  • Estimate first by rounding to the nearest hundred, then check that the answer is close.

How to print or save as PDF

  1. Choose the options on the left (on a phone, above the preview).
  2. Press Print / Save as PDF.
  3. In the print window, pick your printer, or choose “Save as PDF” as the destination.
